Hi, and welcome to Sweet and Simple Bake Shop! My name is Ashley Harper, and I live in Denver, CO with my husband, Matt, and our three cats, Prada, Salem, and Oliver. I have been baking since I got an Easy-Bake Oven circa 1997 (I was about eight years old), but things got interesting when I started working in my dream kitchen in 2017, shortly after Matt and I bought our first home together. In February 2019, with the support and encouragement from family and friends, I established Sweet and Simple Bake Shop, a licensed home bakery. I am a first-generation Persian immigrant born in the United States, and I am proud of my background, so there is some cultural influence in the treats that I create; for example, an integration of rose water into a few of our products. I specialize in creating custom confections like decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, macarons, and more. I also teach cookie decorating workshops, offer cookie kits, and collaborate with local businesses and organizations to host pop-up shops. My favorite things to do are to connect with my clients, decorate, and be creative. I decided to name my bakery Sweet and Simple Bake Shop because sweets are my specialty, I only use quality, premium ingredients, and I believe there is beauty in simplicity.
